HOW TO: Install the Liquid Knowledge Hosted Exchange Certificate

SYMPTOMS
You are a Liquid Knowledge Hosted Exchange user and require the certificate to use the Outlook 2003 or hand held based email remote access functionality.

RESOLUTION
The following steps explain how to install the Liquid Knowledge Hosted Exchange Certificate.

To install the certificate, follow these steps:
1.
Use Internet Explorer to browse to the Liquid Knowledge Technical Support website at
http://support.liquid-knowledge.com.

2. Click on the menu Download, and then on the item Liquid Knowledge Key Chain.

3. If using Windows XP, Windows 2003 or Vista a download confirmation box will be displayed as shown below. Press Open.


If using a hand held device a similar confirmation box will be displayed. Press Yes.

4. If using Windows XP, Windows 2003 or Vista a Certificate box will be displayed as shown below. Press Install Certificate.


If using a hand held device a box will be displayed confirming you wish to load the certificate. Press Yes. This completes the installation on a hand held.

5. If using Windows XP, Windows 2003 or Vista a Certificate Import Wizard box will be displayed as shown below. Press Next >.



6. Select Place all certificates in the following store and click Browse...



7. Select Trusted Root Certificate Authorities and press OK.



8. Press Next >.

9. Press Finish.



10. At the import confirmation box press OK.

11. Close the Certificate box by pressing OK.

ADDITIONAL STEPS FOR VISTA
Vista requires additional steps to authorise the certificate for secure email use. Follow the steps below.

1. Open Internet Explorer.

2. Press the Alt key and the menu bar will be displayed.

3. Select Tools from the Internet Options menu.

4. On the Security tab select Trusted Sites.

5. Press Sites.


6. In the Add this Web site to the zone box enter the address “https://webmail.liquid-knowledge.comâ€.

7. Press Add.

8. Press OK.

9. On the Content tab press Certificates.

10.
On the Trusted Root Certification Authorities tab select the first item named "CH1UKPDC002".

11. Press Advanced.

12. Tick the Secure Email box and press OK.


13. Press Close.

14. Press OK.
